Falcons list new starting QB, linebacker on Week 12 depth chart

The Atlanta Falcons have released a new depth chart ahead of their Week 12 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. With Michael Penix Jr. on the injured reserve list, Kirk Cousins has taken over as the team's starting quarterback. Penix suffered a knee injury in Week 11 and will be out for the next four games at the very least.

On defense, the Falcons are now listing Ronnie Harrison as their other starting inside linebacker next to Kaden Elliss. JD Bertrand has been benched and will back up Harrison in Week 11. Edge rusher Khalid Kareem has been added after signing with Atlanta last week.

While the team has no backup quarterback on the roster at the moment, don't be surprised to see practice squad QB Easton Stick signed to the active roster or elevated for Sunday's game against the Saints. Check out the Falcons' Week 12 depth chart below.

NBA fines Cavaliers $100,000 for resting All-Stars Mitchell and Mobley

NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA fined the Cleveland Cavaliers $100,000 on Tuesday for violating the league's player participation policy by resting both Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley against the Miami Heat on Nov. 12.

The league noted the policy adopted before the 2023-24 season was designed to promote participation in the NBA's regular season.

Cleveland beat Miami 130-116 without Mitchell, a six-time All-Star, and Mobley, a first-time All-Star last season. The Cavaliers also were without All-Star Darius Garland, who aggravated his surgically repaired left toe in a game on Nov. 10.
